Homemade Tortillas ( Submitted By: Sharron M.)

This recipe is easy and not time consuming to make.  My brother likes to roll them up with honey.  As the tortillas finish browning, place them in a gallon zip-lock bag with a paper towel, or under a clean kitchen towel.  Enjoy!

    Ingredients:

2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup milk

     Directions:

Combine flour and salt in bowl. Stir in water, milk, and oil.

Place on a floured surface; knead 10-12 times, adding a little flour or water if needed to achieve a smooth dough. Let rest for 10 minutes. Divide dough into eight portions. On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion into a 7-in. circle.

In a large nonstick skillet cook tortillas over medium heat on each side until lightly browned. Keep warm.

Yield: 8 tortillas.
